This is a post to remind everyone about the Stoat and Loon character haiku contest!

It is still going on.....and probably will forever! But that is no excuse not to submit your haiku asap! Forgot the rules? Why, here they are!

RULES:

If you were in Stoat and Loon what would you be? An animal? A vegetable? A mineral? The possibilities are endless! (Except for humans. Those are not allowed.)

(Part Deux)

You have to write a haiku. (Please look that up if you do not know what it is.)

The haiku must be about one of the following:

1. Stoat and Loon (in its entirety)

2. Your character

3. An obscure Stoat and Loon character

If you can write a swell haiku then I will write you into the next nonsensical script!

Trail Mix and Nose Blowing

Due to the fact that I am sick, I am bored out of my mind when I am not sleeping, eating trail mix, or blowing my nose and I have pretty much exhausted any entertainment my computer provides soooooooo it's time for a post! (I bet you are thinking: Why doesn't she do her homework for the next a million years so she doesn't have to stay up until 4 every Tuesday? Um, my head is full of boogers. I don't have the brain power for that.)

I can't draw. You can't draw. Hermione can't draw. But Sam can! So here I go stealing her stuff again! This little diddy shows Stoat and her creepers. D'Arthur obvi, but who is that other guy with the sweet jodhpurs? Um, I can't remember his name, but he's a badger and works at this restaurant (I love me the food service industry) that I also can't remember the name of. But believe you me that he is a creeper! (Does that sentence make sense? It does if you say it out loud, I swear.)

I wish this book was real because I would read it to the kids I babysit. I already tell them the Epic Adventure story (that still needs to be finished! cough cough) allllllll the time so I think this book would soon become a cult classic.

Ummm, that's it for now. I'm gonna go take some more decongestant!

So, Sam won't draw me any Stoat and Loon things because she is busy or something and she doesn't like me anymore. (Jkjk she still likes me. Who doesn't?) And I told her that while writing a new script (one that takes place part of the time in Duluth...ooo 4th largest city in Minnesota! If you know the 3rd largest I'll give you a prize) I found random SNL pictures in the script notebook. I think we both thought that they would be legit pictures that she drew. But guess what? They aren't! I think I drew all of them and we both laughed at their ridiculousness. So, I am sharing their ridiculousness with you! And because Sam won't draw me anything so there is nothing to put up but random stuff like this!

Here it goes!

1. I'm gonna let the cat outta the bag. This is a new character that appears in the 17 Again-Freaky Friday-Benjamin Button-13 Going on 30 mash up script. His name is Mr. Potaí and he teachers pottery and that is all I can say. And yes, his flusher is also a braid. And he has a belt. And some cahrayzay eyebrows. And his mouth is the hole in the seat.

Next to that is a super high quality picture of him with suspenders. Super. High. Quality.

2. This is the "flow chart", I guess you would call it, for the 17A-FF-BB-13G30 script (that looks like a movie rating in which case this is obviously super restricted! lol). I don't even understand it anymore (and you won't either because it's in reverse), but it makes it look like I put some thought into what I write. Which we all know is not true until the end when I have to tie everything together and I have only done that...one time?

3. I. Have. No. Idea.

What I see is a lumberjack with a beard and luscious curly hair (top right), a lady with a tie and some stuff in her hands (maybe she works at Denny's? idk), a Viking (Vikings are ba so they get capitalized) with a wardrobe malfunction (bottom right), and a girl elf with a part problem. Actually, that last one might be Sam because she has a part problem. I'll let her defend herself on that one if she so chooses. There is also a bunch of Japanese that I tried to write so it looks jank. It was when Brittany (¡shoutout!) was trying to teach Sam Japanese and we were talking to her online. Naturally, being the disruption that I am, I looked at the Japanese alphabet and made up goofy things for Sam to try and translate. They really weren't that hard. It was stuff like Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi, and domo arigato. You know, the usge.

4. An aquatic bird playing football with a deflated ball and its team mascot is either a fish or a bird. We will never know.

5. Last thing! All I remember is that this was extremely funny at the time. And it still is, but I cannot remember why. Looking at old SNL drawings is like having amnesia.

Obvi this is a 3-eyed bull dog wearing a pinafore and a powdered wig with bows on it. I drew it so I say so. However, the quote expresses the fact that it does not appear this way.

In case you can't read the words (because they're reversed) or my handwriting it says (in reference to the canine's period piece hairstyle):

"It looks like it could be a pile of poop, or a beehive, or pancakes!"

Claaasiccc.

And btw I really REALLY love chocolate chip pancakes so if anyone has some extras I'll take them.

Also, in this script (we are still talkin the 17A-FF-BB-13G30 one) there is a Monthly Patriarchs Morning Meeting. I don't really know if there needs to be a parenthesis in patriarchs, but I'll look into that...next year. And if you go/went to Guerin then I hope you can guess what MPMM is supposed to be like! If you can't then your patriarch will cry.

OH! OMG! Ok I was not crazy there really is good stuff to show you! I just re-found this as I was putting the other pictures away. Yay!

1. The Archery Team. I can't tell you when or where because it will spoil things! But puhlease note Loon's sweet jerry curl. Next to him is a whale...a fail whale (a fail whale appears on Twitter when the site has a brain fart. watch this hilarious video ((double parentheses! lol i swear this is funny. no jo bros or boy bands of any kind.)) if you would like to see the fail whale in action).

That's why he looks so sad because he is not very good at archery. Oh, and I say fail whale ALL the time. Twitter has magic powers like that.

Next to the fail whale is a squirrel...person. But Sam scribbled her out and I don't really know why. And I assume it is a girl because it looks like, "OMG you guys!" is about to pop out of its little, squirelly mouth.

Below those folks is a kangaroo. That shoots the bow with its feet! Epiccccc! The physics in that picture sure are cahrazeee. But Sam is a master scientist so I won't question.

Now below all them all is Arkamedies State! YEAH ACHILLES! I bet you can guess who drew that masterpiece. (The glare on these is fabu I must say.)

2. Ok next we have some true beauts. Only a few have to do with SNL, but the rest have to do with things that are...inspiring?

On ze left we have Melvin the moose and he's M-Slice's nephew. He is pretty much a god among moose. I like his inaccurate moose tail. No, really I think every moose in SNL should have that tail for the rest of time. Or maybe only kid/teenage ones! And then it falls of when they become old. Like going bald, but they regrow short tails. Yeah, that's really weird I know, but I can't help it.

Next to Melvin is Lord knows what. A pirate? A Michelin man? Your guess is as good as mine.

Oh geeze then there is Flapjack. I find Flapjack to be THE creepiest thing ever. I can't even say the creepiest little boy because he is in a separate category from little boy.

Below him is a shweet Troy Bolton HSM poster with a Voldemort face (wtf why is Voldemort not in the spell checker dictionary?). If you do not get this then you don't deserve to. Nuff said. Ya gotta getcha head in the game!

Then we an even schweeter non-Troy Voldemort drawn by me. His face is kinda swollen don't you think? Ah well, we can't all be Michelangelo's! Spesh not me.

To Voldy's right and your left is the candy store owner guy from Flapjack. He also gives me the bejeebies. I mean what is with his gums? The way I drew them is not even an exaggeration. I swear they are like that. Look him up. His name is Peppermint Larry. And while you're at it look up Dr. Barber from Flapjack. One word: terrifying. (Oh and Thurop if you are reading this I don't mean to diss your characters. They are good characters. Gums just freak me out. And I don't really like scarves. I do like Bubbie! Probs because I like whales. Have a nice day!)

To top of this fabulous post we have some noiccceee D'Arthur drawings. They are from yet another script that has to do more with D'Arthur and his fam and Twilight. (Neither Sam or I condone the reading of Twilight. We only condone making fun of it.) If someone with a name that started with S would draw this script (even as a Quickeez!!!) then you would understand why D'Arthur is yelling at his mom. Provided here is a frontal view of D'Arthur yelling (HEY MOM!) and looking jank. And then there is also a behind scene done by Sam because I would not be able to figure that angle out. They are in the car obvi and D'Arthur's sister's head can be barely seen next to him. Car time is family time! :)

Ok I think that is it. You know I always got all y'all's backs when it comes to nonsense SNL things. Hope I didn't disappoint! (You like that double apostrophes in y'all's? If my grandma knew of my everyday grammar I think she would either cry or laugh her face off.)

P.S. The numbering on the pictures really has no point to it in case you were wondering. It was supposed to buuuttt it doesn't.

I was like I haven't been on here in forevs I wonder if anyone randomly left a comment I don't know about. And whatta know? Someone did! Loyal fan Miguel entered the haiku contest way back in January, but failed to alert the media so we didn't know about it.

Since Miguel is obviously already a character he gets to be entry one and a half. It was between that and contest entry 0 or -1 but those seemed like they would be damaging to the self esteem. So congratulations Miguel your character will be / already is in Stoat and Loon!

I think this picture perfectly depicts the rage and anger I have to constantly deal with from Miguel and also shows his SNL character.

I'm not quite sure how you all have survived for so long without Stoat and Loon posts!

Actually, you may all be dead and then I am writing this for nobody. But hopefully not!

So, as you can see there is gonna be a Stoat and Loon Hollyday Extravaganza complete with a specially created Stoat and Loon winter time holiday.

I cannot guarantee that anything will actually be drawn, but I can guarantee that there will be a script! And that it will be superb!

Not much else. Sam is apparently changing what all the characters look like, but yah know that's not too big of a deal. Oh, wait it is! I don't even know what they will look like. I do know that Loon's beak will now be yellow. At least I hope so because I like it better yellow! Well, I would like it if everything were yellow because it's the best color. Anyway, these new Stoat and Loon character designs are surrounded in a shroud of secrecy! We will all have to wait patiently.

Also, there is an SNL script being worked on that combines 17 Again, 13 Going on 30, Freaky Friday, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but that has been in the works since the end of summer and it still is! It will be pretty sweet though and features M-Slice's nephew Melvin (his original name was MILF, buuuuuut that changed obviously).

Finally, here is a pictorial clue as to the Stoat and Loon holiday in the Hollyday Extravaganza! As with all other random pictures I put up this one you also will not be able to figure out. Have fun!

And this is my new official pen. It's a beast because it says UC parents on it.

The secret to Stoat and Loon is the fact that there is a fairy on the cover of my folder. And not just any fairy. A pug fairy. Everyone knows that when regular pugs snort magical things happen. And I have an extra magical pug on my folder (because it is a fairy). So, extra magical things happen. That is why Stoat and Loon is so awesome.

I have no clue where Sam keeps her Stoat and Loon stuff, but I might need to get her one of these folders. I also have a Spongebob folder that says stuff about coffee in French, but I thought that might make me write in French, so I don't use that one.

Chelsea and I were chatting and..... we kind of had a stoat and loon explosion. These were all drawn by me. She said I HAD to post them. I took all these pictures with photobooth..so they arent awesome XD

1. I asked Chelsea if Stoat and Loon went to the same college. She said yeah. The only time stoat looked cute and loon looked... terryfing.

2. Who doesn't love Adventure Time? Loon makes an awesome Jake.

3. Okrah the Okapi and her uncle. He owns a jewelry store in Africa... and he's a Zebra.

4. Mr. Chunkerson. Is he Mrs. Chunkerson's husband or son? We don't know.

5. Darthur's family. I updated the disco design for dad. Which i had completely forgotten about XD
6. We had a discussion about how old Darthur is. I used to draw him with the 10 year old design, but lately ive been drawing him a lot younger. So i think he is officially 8. But... dont quote me on that. The 24 design is for something special :D
7. I dont think Darthur would handle it well if Stoat ever got a BF.

Lookie What I Found!!!

I was cleaning my room (a perpetual project that will never end) and I came across some very special Stoat and Loon pictures. And by special I mean.....really bizarre! Yay! I find lots of original, one of a kind SNL pictures in my room, but this time I decided to show the world! So, here ya go!

First, we have this beautiful drawing of Loon with a braided, rat-tail type hairdo. It says suave above. Also, I had to make the pictures weird colors so they would show up. And yes, I did force Sam to draw this.

Next, we have D'Arthur drawn as a human. This was by me and I know that everyone is jealous of my skills. And obviously when he is a human he parts his hair on the other side.

This was also done by me. Duh. It's Loon as a human! With his hat on and of course no clothes. I also drew Stoat, Capybara, and M-Slice as people, but I didn't bother taking pictures of them because I didn't think they would show up. But I will tell you that Stoat had Charlie Brown type hair and wore a skirt.

D'Arthur's dad. Apparently he likes those groovy disco beats.

However, D'Arthur does not like those groovy disco beats. I am sort of wondering how his dad can have the same swoop of hair if he has a kinda curly, deflated afro. I'll write that into Unsolved Mysteries.

Who knows what this is. Some kind of waffle robot.

Loon likes to eat waffle robots. I don't really know who drew this...I think it was Sam, but I think I drew the waffle. IDK Jill. As you can see Loon has a pretty sweet mane of curly hair.

Well, that's all. You have now glimpsed some rare, never before seen fotografias. They will be archived at my house if you need to come and see them for your 8th grade research paper some time. There is a fifty cent cover charge, but I throw in a free brownie and unlimited cups of ice. I'd say that is a deal.

In case you were wondering (and I know you were!) Loon is wearing a Portuguese Man O'War on his head. Not a real one of course! That would be preposterous and this is a serious comic, so we cannot have funny business traipsing willy nilly all over the place! It is a purely 100% polyester-rayon-olefin blend hat made in the fine island nation of Nauru. (We love you Nauru!)

And if you did not catch the advertisement in Pg. 3 then you would not know that the burgers at Meatersen's (sen because founder Tormod Meatersen was from Norway duh!) are made of PMOW's not beef.

Anton is the super shady, Russian, Alligator, waiter from the Meaterson's in Cote de Ivoire, Africa. Once our heroes enter the fast food establishment, this guy won't leave them alone, offering them numerous free cups of ice and asking if the "little lady" (D'Arthur) would like a free toy. Wonder what his problem is.

Miguel

Miguel is the hulking baboon that Loon meets in the Andes. Loon finds himself in Miguel's company near the end of their adventure, and is pretty helpful... most of the time. He is also banjo virtuoso and sings songs sometimes.

Also, Chelsea wrote a song that Miguel and Loon sing and recorded her version of it. She demanded that it be put on the blog. I'm not quite sure how to yet, but be prepared

Throughout Stoat and Loon's Epic Adventure that they will be going on there are haikus that just sum up the last scene in a nice 5, 7, 5 syllable format.

Hello! My name is Chelsea and I write the awesomness that is Stoat and Loon.
I felt I should inform everyone about Mrs. Chunkersons......before Sam disgraces her name.

Mrs. Chunkersons is a nice lady that just happens to by a chunky piece of old milk. She is D'Arthur's teacher and lives with Mr. Chunkerson (no s) who could be her husband...or son. No one really knows, but he is a giant carrot and has a goatee.

And she wears a scarf with her last name on it for easy identification.

Also, only I can draw her because I have SKILLZ!

Welcome to Stoat and Loon: The Blog

Stoat and Loon is an epic awesome sauce comic about .... a stoat and a loon. and a bat. They go on adventures to places like.... the library...and AFRICA. It's basically awesome and you KNOW you want to read it.

Stoat and Loon is Written by Chelsea Courtney and Drawn by Me (Sam King!)

Here are some quick bios of the three main characters, which will hopefully suffice until I can get some better artwork up.

Stoat- She's bffs with Loon and has less personality than Woodrow the Plank of Wood. She works at the public library and babysits. She also waits at the same bus stop as D'Arthur every morning. She is also buddies with Glen, the Library Ghost. She's a vegetarian and wears a sweater.
Loon- He' s bffs with Stoat and is basically the overall voice of INSANITY in the series, most of his dialog makes little to no sense whatsoever. He works at Meatersen's with Okra the Okapi. Meatersen's makes their burgers out of Portuguese-man-of-war. He wears no clothes. Oh, and Es el Buenoness.
D'Arthur- His real name is Arthur, but he insists on being called Damien, cause the world is a bleak and dark place or something like that, but no one wanted to call him that. Thus, D'Arthur was born. He wears girl pants and has a very creepy, never ending, crush on Stoat. He also seems to always go on adventures with Stoat and Loon, despite the fact that he is like, 8, and probably has school or something.He really needs to take his vitamins.

There are also a ton of minor characters that are basically awesome. I'll do a post on them soon.
